The Orlando Magic are entering the playoffs with a secured berth for the first time since 2003. This marks the first time that the team has made the playoffs while posting a losing record, and Magic basketball ticket holders are perfectly happy with that! The past has been pretty good to the Orlando Magic and Orlando Magic Tickets sales have always been great. The club’s history looked particularly good in 1992 when they acquired Shaquille O’Neil from Louisiana State University as he number one draft pick. Shaq immediately had a positive effect on the Magic. He received All-Star starter status as well as the 1992-1993 NBA Rookie of the Year award. Although they didn’t beat the Pacers out for the 8th seed in the playoffs that year, they were once again blessed with a first round draft pick. That year they selected Chris Webber, but traded him to Golden State for “Penny” Hardaway and three future first round draft picks.

With the Hardaway and O’Neil combination, the Magic were once again dominant. They compiled the first 50-win season for the Magic and Magic Basketball ticket holders were very happy. That year they clinched the fourth seed in the Easter Conference. Even after the end of Shaq’s Magic career, they continued to do well. They were then led by Hardaway, Darrell Armstrong and Rony Seikaly. In 2000, they were fortunate and were able to acquire both Grant Hill and Tracy McGrady. In 2001-02, they were fortunate to have McGrady, Armstrong, Miller and Pat Garrity. Currently, Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson looking to take this team to the next Level.
Coach Billy Donovan will try to make the difficult transition from elite college basketball coach to successful NBA bench boss, as he was introduced as head coach of the Orlando Magic in June 2007. Donovan will lead the Magic in Amway Arena. Amway Arena is located near downtown Orlando and did not become Amway Arena until December 2006. As the Magic are always a hot team and vying for the playoffs Amway Arena tickets are always a prized possession.
